HEALTH & WELLBEING

Highland Carbon collaborates with Earthself which is a team and organisational development, coaching and coach training community interest company.  They specialise in the application of Earth Connection in business through three key frameworks and processes: the TreeMap, The NatureProcess and the EarthConnected Framework.  Earthself achieve mental health wellbeing outcomes within the context of nature sustainability.

Highland Carbon donates to the MacMillan Cancer Support charity.  Company Director, Laura McLean, has variously taken part in the Race for Life and charity dog walking challenges.

We have also contributed to the fundraising by our Board of Advisor, Rosemary Gallagher, for her participation in the London Marathon in support of MENCAP.

We sponsored a walk from Canterbury to Rome by Mark Lancaster, the Founder's stepbrother, in aid of the East Kent Hospitals Charity.

The founder, Richard Clarke, also supported a range of fundraising activities for Brainwave special needs children charity in London.  These activities in the City of London included a Santa Dash, James Bond Themed Party, Question of Sport Dinner and Bollywood Ball.

Richard also supported fundraising for the restoration of Lincoln Cathedral, and the Lincoln Cathedral Music Appeal for several years.  He also served in an advisory role, with respect to governance, for a charity set up in his village to support vulnerable people during the covid pandemic.

Richard previously volunteered on the organising committee for DB4C, Doncaster Business for the Community.  He helped to organise black tie dinners held at Bawtry Hall and charity cricket matches held at Tickhill Cricket Club and Doncaster Cricket Club.  He also volunteered on the day during charity football matches held at Keepmoat Stadium.  Grants raised by DB4C were awarded to dozens of exceptional local charities, for example: Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, The Sleep Charity, The Hygiene Charity, Firefly Cancer Charity and Eve's Trust.
