On the evening of 7th December 2023, Highland Carbon was awarded the ‘Green Business of the Year Award’ by the Doncaster Chamber of Commerce. Despite a large number of applicants and five finalists, the Chamber expressed that Highland Carbon received “top marks across the board from the judges.”
Highland Carbon was recognised as the pioneer in the supply of “Conservation Grade Carbon Units.” The judges’ decision reflected its commitment to biodiversity conservation, mitigating climate change and to positive community impacts.
The 25th Annual Doncaster Business Awards were held at Doncaster Racecourse. The prestigious black-tie event is the largest of its kind in the County with 1,000 attendees.
Earlier in the year, Highland Carbon was awarded the “Best UK Carbon Credit Supplier” for the third year in a row. The purpose-driven business was also a finalist for a “South Yorkshire Sustainability Award” during 2023.
Highland Carbon was lauded by the British Chambers of Commerce as one of several inspirational and innovative businesses across the whole of the UK during the lead up to COP28.
Highland Carbon partners with a dozen inspirational estates in Scotland and Northern England. It supplies Pending Issuance Units from its afforestation and peatland restoration projects to more than 70 ethical company clients.
